GTA 6 Preorders: When and How to Preorder

Preorders for Grand Theft Auto VI have not opened yet. Here is how to be ready the second they do — and how to avoid scam listings.

As of today, Rockstar Games has not opened official preorders for Grand Theft Auto VI. Any site claiming to sell launch preorders right now is not official — buy only from PlayStation Store, the Xbox Store, or major retailers once Rockstar confirms. Bookmark this page; we will flip it live the moment preorders open.

Based on Rockstar's previous launches, expect three versions: the Standard Edition, a Special Edition with bonus content, and a Collector's or Premium physical set that tends to sell out within hours. GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 both followed this pattern, and both Collector's sets ended up on resale markets at triple price.

To be ready: have your PlayStation Network or Xbox account payment method current, and watch Rockstar's official channels — the preorder announcement will land there first. Retail listings usually appear minutes later. If you prefer physical discs, major retailers typically open console preorders in-store and online simultaneously.

One more tip: do not pay a 'reserve your copy' fee to third-party sites before official preorders exist. With GTA 6 the most hyped entertainment launch of the decade, scammers are already farming searches for preorders. The only safe move is patience until the official announcement.
