The GTA 6 map covers the fictional state of Leonida, and Rockstar has been unusually specific about its regions. Trailer 2 and the official story page name six major areas: Vice City, the Leonida Keys, the Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga National Park. Together they suggest the largest and most varied map the series has ever built.
Vice City is the crown jewel — a neon-soaked take on Miami with art deco districts, a waterfront, and nightlife that Trailer 1 showed off in full. The Leonida Keys stretch south as a chain of islands tied together by bridges, clearly modeled on the Florida Keys, where Jason runs jobs for local smugglers.
Inland, the Grassrivers is an enormous swamp wetland — Leonida's Everglades — complete with airboats, marsh trails, and wildlife. Port Gellhorn sits on the west coast as a faded tourist town, the kind of place motels time forgot. Ambrosia is an industrial town built around a sugar refinery, and Mount Kalaga National Park covers the northern highlands with forests, trails, and lookouts.
The scale matters for gameplay. Trailer footage shows biomes shifting within minutes of driving: beaches to suburbs, wetlands to farmland, city towers to country roads. Leaked and analyzed footage suggests the map is roughly double the size of Los Santos from GTA V, though Rockstar has never published an official figure.
Our advice: bookmark this page and the map hub. As trailers drop and the launch approaches, we will pin every confirmed district, landmark, and airport onto one annotated map of Leonida so you can plan your first drive.
