GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. Rockstar has confirmed nothing about a PC version, and history says you should not expect one at launch.
The pattern is consistent. GTA V launched on consoles in September 2013 and came to PC in April 2015 — about 19 months later. Red Dead Redemption 2 launched in October 2018 and reached PC in November 2019 — about 13 months later. Applying that range to GTA 6 puts a realistic PC window somewhere between late 2027 and mid 2028.
Why the wait? Console-first launches let Rockstar optimize one fixed hardware target, then port with the extra time the console revenue already paid for. It also avoids splitting the launch-window audience and lets the PC version ship with the enhanced features PC players expect — unlocked frame rates, extensive graphics settings, and mod support.
If you are a PC-only player, the practical advice is: temper expectations for launch day, follow official channels for a PC announcement, and treat any 'GTA 6 PC beta' download as malware. It will appear — these scams always do — and none of them are real.
