Does GTA 6 have co op in the story mode?
Two protagonists makes me think maybe a friend could play the other one. Any word on that?

No co op story mode has been announced. Two protagonists does not imply co op, and Rockstar has always kept story single player with a separate online mode.

If you want to play together, the online component is where that will happen.
