GTA 6 Online — Is There a Multiplayer Mode?
A multiplayer mode for Grand Theft Auto VI is not yet announced by Rockstar. There is no confirmed name, no confirmed launch window and no confirmed feature list for anything resembling GTA Online in the new game. Rockstar has announced the single-player game for November 19, 2026, and nothing more about online play.
What is confirmed
Grand Theft Auto VI launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026. Rockstar has not announced a version for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch 2 or cloud streaming services.
Online functionality, multiplayer modes, microtransactions and any continuation of GTA Online inside the new game are all unannounced. That means we cannot say it will exist, and we cannot say it will not.
Why people assume it is coming
Grand Theft Auto Online has run for over a decade alongside Grand Theft Auto V and remains commercially significant for Take-Two. That is precedent and business context — it is not a statement from Rockstar about this game.
